The Dog Lovers Gift List 2025

Love it? Hate it? It doesn’t matter, there’s no escaping it – Christmas is literally around the corner, which means any free time you had to doom-scroll your way through endless dog reels is over, and it’s time to get shopping for your beautiful dog.

Each year it gets harder, not because there isn’t a great selection of dog gifts out there, but because your dog already feels like it’s Christmas Day, everyday, just by living with you. Spoiling your dog is the best feeling, until you have to go that extra mile and knock it out the park.

So I’m hoping my Dog Lovers Gift List 2025 will help you retain your spot as the favourite human, firmly beating those annoying “care givers” who just turn up for occasional walks and cuddles. This list has been a true collab, with all my favourite dogs sharing their best gifts of 2025 – so thanks guys for the intel!

So where to start ? Treats of course! I’m not saying your dog is basic… but let’s face it, treats go a long way in the world of doggy love. Have you considered duck necks? I have it on good authority from Iris, the border terrier, that a duck neck is ‘top trumps’ in the world of treats. Sounding like pork crackling when its being munched, it adds to the overall Christmas vibe. Starting at £5 for a decent sized bag, what’s not to love?

Go posh this year with Fortnum’s and Mason’s  ‘Paw-Fect Cracker’ at £18.95 – It’s free from frightening bangs and contains a candy cane shaped dog toy and a joke card, aimed at alleviating your pain from this years’ vets bills.

Chill like a professional with Valerian Compound from Dorwest at £12.50, which can help to quickly calm and relax your anxious little ones, especially when it’s Bonfire night and Diwali.  Luna, a black cockerpoo, rates is highly and told me it takes the edge of the long dark nights.  My go to is a G&T, but I appreciate that’s not an option for everyone!

Wear it with pride. So I have never been one for dog clothes – but Barney, the giant Goldendoodle wears his equafleece with pride. Barney is a big dog and washing him after every walk is no mean feat.  This way he gets to roll in what he wants, keeps warm, stays relatively dry and just needs a quick wipe of the paws at the end of the walk – leaving everyone happy.  There are no annoying buckles, straps of velcro, making it a big hit. Standard sizes start from £31 and there are 18 colours to choose from.

Invest wisely in good quality toys. There’s nothing worse than giving your dog a £20 toy to see it destroyed within a couple of days.  Pepper,  a black lab has been trying to destroy her ‘goDog Dragon’, for over a year, but has failed miserably due to its ‘chew guard technology’. With prices starting at £5.99 there’s a good selection of cute colours and animals to choose from leaving you with more money to spend on Christmas baubles.

Be a star. Elevate your gifting to a new level with my Dog Photoshoot Gift Vouchers Not only are you gifting a fun dog photoshoot experience lasting two hours in the beautiful outdoors, but the memories will live on forever in the contemporary portraits from the day. Starting at £185, owners are welcome to be in as many photos as they want, creating stunning family portraits and leaving everyone feeling warm and fuzzy! Gift vouchers can either be posted or be instant digital downloads, making them perfect for those last minute presents!

The gift that keeps on giving all year is choosing high quality day care for your dog.  For the whole of Ruki’s life, I entrusted his day care and boarding to Premier Dog Walkers.  Warren Kirk and his team of walkers took Ruki on first class adventures and provided an amazing home care environment when I was away on holiday. Covering the north London area, they pride themselves on building long term relationships with the dogs they walk, treating your dog with love and compassion.  The only downside was I did wonder if Ruki loved Warren more than me!  Walks are £20 and daycare is £45.

Plan a Christmas escape with your dog to Tewinbury Farm Hotel, a riverside family-run working farm in Hertfordshire. I had the pleasure of visiting this year to photograph their farm dogs and to say this place is ‘dog friendly’ is an understatement.  It has everything you need and more to make sure you all feel welcome. From beautiful walks exploring the diary farm, to restaurants serving scrumptious food, you can go for lunch or stay the night.  The lakeside cabins look super romantic –  and I’m waiting for my chance to stay with someone special! Rooms start at £175.

For the art lovers out there, iconic photographer Bruce Weber’s book ‘The Golden Retriever Photographic Society’ is a classy coffee table book celebrating the human-animal bond. For five decades Weber’s pack of golden retrievers have populated his photography, highlighting how the connection to one’s pets can fuel creativity, provide companionship and bring joy. At £97 it’s a statement present for sure, but it shows you have impeccable taste and are actually quite cultured!

Shop with a conscience. The Bolga handmade dog bed basket is intricately crafted using traditional techniques and materials commonly found in Ghana. These tasteful, low key baskets are made from natural, sustainable materials such as elephant grass straw, perfectly complimenting the craziest Vizsla I know - Bertie and his cool Hackney Hipster vibes. By supporting African artisans and opting for a handmade dog bed basket, you are not only providing your dog with a special place to rest but also contributing to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and supporting sustainable and ethical practices. Love, Love, Love! Available on Etsy for £115.

Give generously. And finally let’s take a moment to think of the dogs that are not as lucky as yours and consider making a donation to an animal welfare charity in your dogs’ name.  With so many worthwhile charities to donate to it can be difficult to choose from. From rescue dog charities including All Dogs Matter and Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue, to broader charities like the RSPCA, the need to support animal welfare charities is growing every day.

Good luck in your shopping pursuits – enjoy it if you can! Wishing you a great break and looking forward to more fabulous dog shoots in 2026.
